The Winner Stands Alone

Paulo Coelho again. The Winner Stands Alone - his latest offering. Read 30-35 pages and I just loved it. The novel deals with the story of Igor, a Russian guy - handsome, rich and successful, whose wife leaves him for successful fashion designer. How, Igor follows his dream of bringing his wife back. The novel will tell the futility of celebrity, wealth, the meaningless of the fabulous lives of the riches.

I loved one part of the first few pages of the novel. It gave an ultimate definition of fashion. Fashion is merely a way of saying - I belong to your world. I'm wearing the same uniform as your army; so don't shoot.

In another part, its told "A man never notices what a woman is wearing, because they are always mentally undressing her" ... awesome.

This novel gonna be a cool one.

The novel is available for online reading here.

@nick,

Ya man, you are right. Recently I was watching an English movie "Road Trip". I was astonished to see that director of Hindi movie "Dhamal" copied the car crash scene from this movie in totality. Such a shame !!!
