Where's the Goal ?

Manzilon se rahe dhondte chali
Aur kho gai hai manzil kahin rahon mein
...
this verse, taken from a contemporary songs of a Bollywood movie translates as ...

As I search my way through my Goal,
My Goal got lost in my way...

15 years ago, when someone asks me what is my goal in life, I used to say... I wanna be a computer engineer or may be an MBA. But if the same question is asked today, literally I don't have an answer. I really don't know what do I want to do in my life. And, life is just a rudderless boat, just sailing around. When I used to write essay on "Aim In Life" in my 7th or 8th standard, I used to write this quotation in the introductory part... "An Aimless Life is Like a Rudderless Boat." and the same quotation is probably getting its life in me. I have to find a goal soon, else I will be just a wasted creature. I just found some goals, I need to finish the pending works of the project at office; then I have to follow up with electricity office; I need to search through Google for the download links of Cradle Of Filth's latest album. Aah... too much of goals for a week.

And life is just moving at its own pace with these silly goals.

Eat Here, Drink Here & Kill Here...

So, the terror strikes again. 2 days, 2 cities, more than 30 blasts. A big blow to the sovereignty, integrity of our country. But, probably everyone of us will forget it as an another brick in the wall. Terror is as though our next door neighbor. And, some f**king terror organization calling themselves as Indian Mujaheddin claims the responsibility. I can see a great flaw over the name of this mother-f**ker organization. If they are Mujaheddin, they can't be Indians. Because an Indian will never kill another Indian, just in the name of God. Mann, these people eat the food of this country, drink the water of this country... but will also kill the people of this country, destroy the country's property. I wish, their God did not exist, how many lives would have been spared !!! If they are so much irritated in this country, if they feels that their fundamental rights are getting violated here, why the f**k they are here? Go to your own countries. We dont want you. But dudes, one thing is for sure, some blasts will never relief you from the filths where your are now. You have to improve yourself, rather than try to change your surroundings by killing innocent people in the name of God.

Struggle for Survival

"In a drive to save on electricity consumption, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off till further notice. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. Kindly postpone all your hopes and dreams..."

May be someone wrote this quote just for fun or just for the sake of making a quote. But, atleast this year I am seeing this to be true every passing day. If I just look back, I remember about incidents of RIFs in companies, then rise in food grains, followed by the biggest blow of this year - the increase in crude oil prices, then sky soaring inflation, increase in prices of literally everything. Mann, whats going on? At least in this part of the country we had electricity and water to a sufficient level. Now, mother natured kicked our asses and the monsoon played truant this year. The month of July saw zero rainfall. So, here comes the consequences... 3 hrs. of load shedding everyday and 20% cut in water supply. The local electricity distribution firm declared 24hrs. of power cut for industrial connections every Thursday. These things are really frightening me and may be every other individuals. In the race of being the most advanced living beings in the universe, probably our survival is getting questioned !

Socha nahi to socho abhi...

Got to listen to the numbers from the upcoming movie of Farhan Akhtar called Rock On. Seems like a movie based on some rock band. I liked the music. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, once again did a splendid job. Most of the songs are sung by Farhan Akhtar himself and the songs have a more or less rock genre. I love the Socha Hain and the title track the most. Loved the lyrics of the Socha Hain song.

aasma hai neela kyun
paani geela geela kyun
gol kyun hai zameen
silk mein hai narmi kyun
aag mein hai garmi kyun
do aur do paanch kyun nahi

ped ho gaye kam kyun
teen hain ye mausam kyun
chaand do kyun nahi
duniya mein hai jung kyun
behta laal rang kyun
sarhaden hain kyun har kahin
socha hai… ye tumne kya kabhi
socha hai… ki hain ye kya sabhi
socha nahi to socho abhi

behti kyun hai har nadi
hoti kya hai roshni
barf girti hai kyun
dost kyun hain roothte
taare kyun hain toot-te
baadlon mein bijli hai kyun
socha hai… ye tumne kya kabhi
socha hai… ki hain ye kya sabhi
socha nahi to socho abhi

sannata sunai nahi deta
aur hawayen dikhayi nahi deti
scha hai kya kabhi
hota hai ye kyun…………

aasma hai neela kyun
paani geela geela kyun
gol kyu hai zamee
silk mein hai narmi kyun
aag mein hai garmi kyun
do aur do paanch kyun nahi

ped ho gaye kam kyun
teen hain ye mausam kyun
chaand do kyun nahi
duniya mein hai jung kyun
behta laal rang kyun
sarhaden hain kyun har kahin
socha hai… ye tumne kya kabhi
socha hai… ki hain ye kya sabhi
socha nahi to socho abhi……

Last Kiss

I knew about this song, but for last few days I am listening to this song more than once. Well. the song is Last Kiss by Pearl Jam. Last Kiss was originally written by Wayne Cochran in 1962 and performed by Wayne Cochran & the C.C. Riders. The lyric was inspired by an incident in which several teens were killed and two seriously injured when their car struck a flatbed logging truck. The cover performed by Pearl Jam was the greatest hit of all time. It was released in 1999 as an aid for the Kosovo War victim. The song helped collect $11,000,000 for Kosovo relief. Pearl Jam included this song in their album Lost Dogs in 2003.

I simply love the lyrics...

Oh, where oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.

We were out on a date in my daddy's car
We hadn't driven very far
There in the road, up straight ahead
A car was stalled, the engine was dead
I couldn't stop, so I swerved to the right
I'll never forget the sound that night
The screamin' tires, the bustin' glass
The painful scream that I heard last.

Oh, where oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.

When I woke up, the rain was pourin' down
There were people standing all around
Something warm rollin' through my eyes
But somehow I found my baby that night
I lifted her head, she looked at me and said
"Hold me darling just a little while."
I held her close, I kissed her our last kiss
I found the love that I knew I would miss
But now she's gone, even though I hold her tight
I lost my love, my life that night.

Oh, where oh where can my baby be?
The Lord took her away from me
She's gone to heaven, so I got to be good
So I can see my baby when I leave this world.
Oooh... ooooh...
